da betobet: Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Fiorentina defender German Pezzella, according to Tuttosport.
What’s the word?
da 888casino: The 26-year-old is believed to have attracted interest from the Premier League club and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.
Pezzella has only been part of the Fiorentina fold since the summer, but at the moment he is on a loan deal from Real Betis.
Tuttosport claims that the Italian club are keen to tie the centre-back down to a permanent deal costing around £9m.
The Serie A outfit reportedly want to rush the deal through due to the interest shown by Tottenham and Atletico.
Is Pezzella a good option?
So far this season, the Argentine has played in all but one of Fiorentina’s matches and has even contributed with a goal in Serie A.
The defender’s solid performances at the back indicate that he would be a decent player to call upon if anything were to happen to Tottenham’s first-choice pairings.
As it stands, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez would be above Pezzella in the pecking order.
Given that Fiorentina could reportedly nab his signature permanently for £9m, Spurs might be able to swoop a cheap deal.
The only downside is that the player could potentially be put off by a lack of game time.
