da betway: Arsenal could be lining up a move for German youngster Daniel Hanslik after taking him on-trial, The Daily Express reports.
What’s the word?
da betcris: Arsenal have taken young German midfielder Daniel Hanslik on-loan from SV Steinbach after taking advantage of their links to the player, with his representative, Kujtim Mustafi, also being the father of Gunners defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The 20-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, was pictured with compatriots Mesut Ozil and Mustafi at the Gunners training ground in London Colney and interest in his services is high, with Hanslik scoring 14 goals and providing five assists in just 18 appearances this season.
Arsenal were quiet during the transfer window, only bringing in young Cohen Bramall from non-league outfit Hednesford Town, although a number of loan deals were secured for the young players within the club.
Will a deal be reached?
Should Hanslik impress during his trial, the Gunners could move to win the race for the midfielder’s signature and it could be an important deal, with Arsene Wenger currently having just Francis Coquelin as a senior recognised central midfielder in the squad.
Injuries to Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla have rocked the Gunners’ ranks, whilst Granit Xhaka is halfway through a four-match suspension and Mohamed Elneny is preparing for the African Cup of Nations final with Egypt.
