Mustafi has started 19 of those 28 matches after missing seven through injury earlier in the campaign, but after two disappointing performances against Pep Guardiola’s men the Emirates Stadium faithful are keen to see him replaced by Mertesacker, even though he has only played 82 minutes of top flight football since October.
