Rennes have submitted a bid to sign Barcelona's 20-year-old centre-back Mikayil Faye.

A number of clubs are interested in signing Faye from Barcelona, but Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have tried to steal a march by submitting €10m (£8.6m/$11m) bid for the centre-back. That's according to , who says the French club have also included a sell-on clause of around 20/25% in their offer.

Barcelona have also requested a buy-back clause in the deal as they are keen to retain control of Faye's future. Clearly the La Liga side believe the Senegal international, who played for Barcelona B last season, might still have a future at the Camp Nou.
