da marjack bet: Wolves will extend the contract of versatile defender Romain Saiss due to a clause in his current deal related to the number of games played, according to reports.
da prosport bet: Express and Star have reported about Saiss’ situation, stating that the number of matches he has started this season has triggered a contract extension for the defender.
Saiss set to extend for 12 months
The report from Express and Star has revealed that Saiss has earned a new 12-month deal, as his current contract was set to run out in the summer.
He is now set to be a valuable member of the club’s first-team squad next season and the 30-year-old will also be one of Wolves’ longest-serving players as only Conor Coady has been at the club longer than the Moroccan. Saiss is valued at £9m right now.
In the current season, Saiss has made 23 appearances in all competitions. He has also scored two goals, scoring against Tottenham and Brighton (as per Transfermarkt).
Saiss deserves a new contract
In the current campaign, Saiss has picked up a rating of 6.88 for Nuno’s side – only three players have picked up better ratings than him (as per Whoscored).
It shows his consistency as a defender and the fact that he has been regular contributor to the side, due in no small part to his ability to play at centre-back, left-back or even in midfield. Whether he continues to play a major role or just offers depth next season, there is no doubt the club will benefit from keeping him around.
